This has got to be the most ridiculous NON user friendly email service not to have a logout ANYWHERE on the screen.
How the HELL do you log someone else out of MSN Hotmail so another user can sign in to get their email?
I don't like it either. But, look at the very top of the page in the middle and you should see a "sign out."
I can't get my emails to come up in the right order when I read one and go to the next. The next one is not the one that should be there. It's from month's before.

I can sign in to yahoo,but my email wont open?
i sign in to yahoo,just like i always do,and then click the mail icon, and all i get is a blank screen with the word done at the bottom left of my screen. i click the refresh button but get the same results. i have 164 emails but i cant read any of them! its very frustrating!!! please help me!! i cant open my mail, so if you can let me know another way to fix it.

Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send receive delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. Is an alternate email necessary to sign up for yahoo?
It was optional in the past but I am not sure now. It is highly recommended. If someone knows your date of birth, zip code, and secret question answer they can take over your account. With the alternate address that is where the new password is sent.

With facebook sign up they ask for my email password should I put it in and why do they want it?
If they ask for you password they want to import your address book to find any of your friends from your address book to see if they are listed on facebook. They are not going to send out any emails on your behalf or use the information inappropriately. You don't have to enter only if you wnat to see who from your addresses is on facebook already. They do not send out promo codes. They have not had a promo code since I dont know when and I called to ask about promo codes for 2009 and they said there would not be any codes. They send you info of new things on their website, but you dont really need them to find the stuff on the website. They do not send too many emails though, only once in awhile.

They do not send out promo codes. They have not had a promo code since I dont know when and I called to ask about promo codes for 2009 and they said there would not be any codes. They send you info of new things on their website, but you dont really need them to find the stuff on the website. They do not send too many emails though, only once in awhile.

I have been unable to sign in to yahoo messenger for 4 days. I can sign in on my phone or into my email.?
I am just unable to sign in on my computer. I have tried to resolve the issue in the yahoo help with their "liveperson" chat and have also submitted several requests through the "report a problem" and have still been unable to resolve the issue. Hi there! I had the same problem and so did a lot of people. As soon as I click the log in, the yahoo messenger application vanishes into thin air. Also the icon in my toolbar vanishes. Replace the (dot ) with . and remove the spaces in between because I cant post the link as it is. Yahoo won't let me.
I suggest READ EVERYTHING first (at least twice) in that link before downloading because there are some instructions there that are really important.
Do everything as instructed on how to use it. Trust me, my yahoo messenger is working like new now without having to reinstall yahoo or any programs. This will save you the time and trouble. And also, it seems like this problem's root cause is a flash drive. Try reformatting any flashdrive you have.

Reply:make a new yahoo account and try to sign in with that one. if you still can't with that name, then, u might need to check the settings on your computer...like cookies, internet options, firewall, proxies, etc.
if it works with the new password. maybe ur yahoo password has been compromised and soembody has been using it.
Or, maybe you need to sign out on ur phone. possibly it has you logged on thru ther and won't u log on 2 different locations at the same time.

Apparently, Yahoo is having some issues. I have heard multiple suggestions from multiple people concerning how to access your mail in the meantime. One of them might work for you. All of them might work for you. Or none.
My advice is this: create a gmail account (even just temporarily) and then if you get into your mail, immediately save your contacts and upload them to gmail. That way you can let them all know that you are temporarily at a different email address. I say do this first, because I managed to get through once using one of these tricks, but I haven't since.
1. Under Internet Options, select Low Cookie settings. Then try logging in.
2. Use Firefox, or some other internet provider, to access your computer.
3. Try downloading the latest version of Java at www.java.com
4. Opt out of Yahoo! Mail Beta by going to this address: http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?s... and click "yes"...in my case it actually took me to my email, but only worked once.
If none of that works, you can call 1-877-469-7847 (Yahoo customer service) and see if they have any more ideas for you.

Yahoo Messenger automatic sign in to email help?
I checked a box that used to appear right after I signed in to Yahoo Messenger and I'm guessing it was asking if I wanted to sign into my email when I signed into Yahoo Messenger. I didn't realize it and was getting bothered by it so I clicked "Do not show this message again" or something like that. I know it's not a big deal but I'd like to be automatically signed in to email when I sign into Yahoo Messenger instead of having to sign in every time I receive an email. Even when I sign in to email first I still have to re-sign in once I try to open an email from Yahoo Messenger. So with all that said, anyone know where I can change that preference?

As to free email - Yahoo! is excellent and an advantage is that you are independent of your ISP - so if you change ISP in the future (as you almost certainly will) you can keep your Yahoo email address and won't lose touch with those to whom you have given your email address.
I've been with Yahoo for years and been through 4 or 5 ISPs.
Not so keen on Hotmail. I started getting lots of spam. Yahoo spam filters are excellent.

They don't, for the basic service. It is FREE. If they are asking for a credit card, either they are NOT Yahoo, or you are trying to sign up for one of their PREMIUM accounts.
Is it free to sign up for an email address with yahoo? why do they need a credit card?
They don't, for the basic service. It is FREE. If they are asking for a credit card, either they are NOT Yahoo, or you are trying to sign up for one of their PREMIUM accounts.
I can sign into my email account however it will not open individual responses. What do I do?
You may possibly have a corrupt cache file -- it makes all KINDS of things go wonky. Try this: clear your history, temporary files (these will take a while!) %26amp; cookies, restart the computer and retry. This is a yahoo glitch, there are aware of it. Try clicking on Unread messages and see if that clears it. And be sure to look through all the emails to the bottom and next page. Sometimes if you move them to a folder it will show as unread. If this is the case then go to the folder and click the email again.

After typing in my ID and password, the screen goes white, and then I get a server error page/message. This does not happen with one of my accounts, and did not happen with this one until mid-morning. Both accounts are switched to beta.

I can't find this "keep me signed in" check box that is mentioned on my email sign-in page. Can someone please tell me where it is located?
I asked this exact same question a few minutes ago and got two real nice answers. However, there is no check box of any kind below where I enter my password, nor anywhere else on that page.

i filled out the all the fields and when i went to check the availability of the yahoo id i wanted and it closed out the page. i went back in and filled all the fields out again with the same yahoo id name i was needing and password and then i typed in the security code and agreed to the terms. it did the same thing as if you were to X out of a page and close it. has anyone experienced this recently?

I use my email and chat for work purposes and have always had them both open at the same time. Now, when I pull up my email, I am disconnected from chat. This is a disaster.

The computer may have been holding on to an older 'cache' file that had that information. Just click F5 (refresh) and it should vanish and then you can type in your info.

How do I sign-in to a 2nd email account & leave the 1st signed-in?
It is possible if you are using yahoo multi messenger or you are in outlook. You can operate on more than one yahoo account.

Why exactly do you want an email addy ending in @msn.com? believe me, its really not important. If you want one not usually associated with known ISPs like SBC, Yahoo, AOL, etc; sign up for email at http:www.mail.com- they have hundreds of email addy endings you can choose from, like @clergy.com, @mail.com, and many others.

How can I delete a Yahoo email account? I need to keep my sign on name for another address I purchased?
All you have to do is go to the "help" section on your Yahoo Mail page and type in "how do i delete my account" or just type "delete my account" there should be a topic that says "How do I delete an email address?". Just click on that and you should be able to delete your account from there!!
It sometimes takes them a little while to actually delete the account but if you delete all your personal info on that account, it shouldn't take them very long to take care of your request.

How can I put a sign-in seal on my yahoo email?
My sign-in seal has disappeared. It's happened before, but I have easily created another one.
But this time, when I go to the Yahoo Mail sign-in page, there is nothing on that page that would enable me to set up another sign-in seal.
Can anyone help? I'd be grateful if they could.

After sign up a new email address, why always ask me to enter the "code" when I send out a mail?
Yahoo does this to some email addresses to prevent phishing users/spam. Also to make sure the account holder, so all your messages want do this, just some. It happens to everyone who has a email address

I've had my Yahoo email for over 10 years, and I use it everyday, today for the first time, I can sign on. Does anyone have any suggessions? I already opened a new account but I have much info in my old account I need. Please help!!!

Did you check to make sure that your caps lock on/off or that if you are keying in a number the num lock is not on/off. It may also be an error on their end, that has happened to me in the past

Must I constantly get an annoying message from yahoo mail to sign in. I changed it to once evry 24 hours but that is also a pain. Can I eliminate this?

No you can not eliminate this. Actually it is for your protection. I get the message "your login session has expired."
You'll see this message if it has been more than eight hours since you last signed into Yahoo! Mail and you did not click the "Sign Out" link at the end of your session.
