when you ask a question, you have to choose the category right?
so if you go all the way to the bottom of the page there is a check box, that says something like "yes e-mail me .........". Uncheck that box and sign in independently to yahoo answers to browse your answers

when you are in answers, click on your own name and you can read the your answers and questions. Iforgot how to ge then "not" sent to your email..but that is also thru yahoo answers... not your email account. i sure someone else knows and will tell you.

How do I have it say idle when I'm signed into my email/chat?
I'm on invisible mode how do I make it say idle to my connections that also use yahoo? I've noticed when a couple of my connections/contacts are online it says idle.

u cant get "idle" status if you are invisible, it only idle if u are online and u dont use the messenger for certain time (depends how many minutes u set in your messenger before it idle) to set it
click messenger-reference-privacy-click the box show me as idle if i dont use the computer for (then set the minutes).
or u can do it easier way, make a status that says "idle"

Emailed yahoo many times my log in doesn't work keith_e_71 and they send me an email to change password. I can't even get on to change the password is their another way to do this.
Reply:Try http://us.m.yahoo.com/p/mail to view inbox, seems to be working for me. There's a link down the bottom of the page to get back the yahoo home page while staying logged in and you get click mail there to get to the normal mail inbox.

Email not allowing me to sign in?
I have followed ALL of the trouble shooting tips. This is the second time. It did this once be for and then a about 1/2 later it started to work. Now it has been like this for over 5 hours. I try to reset and it does not recognize my ID. When I ask it to send me my id, it is the same ID I am typing in. This is driving me crazy. It is on another ID - I created this one just so I could log in and ask the question.

Don't ever wait 5 hours. Close out %26amp; reboot your computer when this happens. Are u using beta mail? If so, switch back to regular mail. Some computers are having trouble with Beta.

Roger that, looks like we are at the mercy of Yahoo. Hope this gets fixed quick. Anyone know of an ETA for this to be solved?

Reply:my best explaination is this, sometimes servers are located in different buildings. so if there is a power outage at one building not all servers go down. your friends computer is probably on the server that is in a different location. As far as Myspace goes, their building has no power but will be up and back online soon enough. Yahoo im sure has servers that are online as im posting in here also but your email may be on the server that is undergoing maintanence. It will be back online im sure very soon. I cannot log in my messenger so i have to assume that the server which hosts me for yahoo, is either down or under maintanence. Not everyone will experiece these outages and maint issues as not all servers will be offline at the same time.

A spokesperson for Yahoo Inc. said that they are aware of the problem and will have services restored as soon as possible. They also added that the security breech was a flaw in the new firewall services currently in beta testing for new upcoming release of Windows Vista, scheduled for release early next year. Yahoo has asked users to secure their accounts by confirming their identity and or changing passwords to a secure, undetectable one which consists of no less than 10 characters of numerals and letters. CNN had contacted Yahoo headquarters for comment but no calls were returned. once you're changed your pass word stay logged in to either your mail , 360 , games, ect. they can't get your password if you're logged in. its what somone told me. im just passin the message for them
